Terms of Sale & Refund Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy online training courses from www.ascendiaacademy.org. Please read them before you place an order.

1. About us

Ascendia Academy is a trading name of Ascendia Projects Limited (formerly Ascendia Consults Limited), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16852356).

Contact: Business & Technology Centre, Bessemer Drive, Stevenage SG1 2DX, United Kingdom · info@ascendiaconsultslimited.co.uk · 07901 218029.

2. What you are buying

Our courses are online video courses (digital content). They are produced and hosted by our learning platform partner, VideoTile Learning Ltd, and we sell them as an authorised distributor.

When your payment is confirmed, we create or use your learning account on our learning platform (videotilehost.com), add your course to it and email your login details, normally within minutes.

Course details, including duration, CPD points and approvals, are shown on each course page. Approvals and certificates are issued under the arrangements of the course owner and the relevant awarding or approving bodies.

Each place is for one named learner. Logins and courses must not be shared or resold.

3. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and are the total you pay for the course. Payment is taken at checkout by card through Stripe (or another method shown at checkout). If you pay with a card in another currency, your card provider converts the amount and may charge a fee.

Discount codes must be entered at checkout, can't be exchanged for cash, can't be added after an order is placed, and may be withdrawn at any time. The TEAM10 code is for orders of 5 or more places. If it is used on fewer places, we may ask for the difference or cancel the order with a refund.

If a price on our site is clearly wrong, we will contact you before enrolling you and give you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.

4. Group and corporate bookings

The person or organisation placing a group order must list each learner's name and email address and confirm they have permission to share them with us. Places on invoice are confirmed and enrolled once payment is received. Invoices are payable within 14 days unless agreed otherwise in writing.

5. Your right to cancel and refunds (consumers)

If you are buying as a consumer, you normally have 14 days from your purchase to cancel and receive a full refund.

Because our courses are digital content supplied immediately, that right ends once you start the course. By completing your purchase, you ask us to give you immediate access and acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once you begin the course, that is, once you open any course content in your learning account. This follows the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

  • If you haven't started the course, you can cancel within 14 days of purchase by emailing info@ascendiaconsultslimited.co.uk with your order number. We will remove the course from your account and refund you in full, to your original payment method, within 14 days.

  • If you have started the course, it can't be cancelled or refunded, except under your statutory rights below.

  • If a course is faulty (for example, it won't play, or isn't as described) and we can't fix it within a reasonable time, you are entitled to a repair, a replacement or a refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us first so we can help.

  • If you bought the wrong course by mistake and haven't started it, we're happy to swap it for another course of the same or lower price within 14 days.

Business customers (including corporate and invoice bookings) are not covered by the consumer cancellation right. However, we will refund or swap unused places, those not yet started by the learner, if you ask within 14 days of the order.

6. Access, availability and support

Course access is provided through our learning platform and lasts for the period that applies to that course. We aim to keep courses available at all times but can't guarantee uninterrupted access. If you have trouble logging in or haven't received your access email within an hour, please check your spam folder and then contact us.

7. Our responsibility to you

Our courses provide training and information. Completing a course does not on its own make anyone competent for a role. Employers remain responsible for workplace assessment, supervision and any practical training required by law.

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. Where you buy as a business, our total liability is limited to the price paid for the course concerned.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

8. Your data

We use your personal data as set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Complaints and law

If you're unhappy, please email info@ascendiaconsultslimited.co.uk and we will respond within 14 days. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
